A day by the sea

In mid August the Watch House team organised a day by the seaside for a group of kids from the west end of Newcastle. CBK Adventures kindly donated their time and equipment so the kids could experience the fun of paddleboards in the morning something which none of them had ever experienced before.

Bill’s Fish Shop donated a great lunch for the group and Tony, our resident tour guide, took the kids on a tour of the smugglers caves and talked about our history and heritage in the village and the historical importance that fishing played in the area. Without a doubt the kids had a thoroughly enjoyable day.

The group’s leaders comments afterwards “A big thank you for today. The kids had a great time, new experiences for most of them and some fantastic memories. …

We really appreciate the effort everybody made and the generosity behind the day.

Please pass on our thanks to all involved, CBK, Bill's Fish Shop, Tony and of course yourself and all your team at the Watch House.”

Big thanks to all who contributed.
